SUMMARY
after the general election in may Britain witness a shift of power from labour party (which had been in power since 1997)to an alliance of labour and libs Dem's lead by 43years old David Cameron of conservatives(the youngest prime minister in almost two century)
the conservatives won 36% of the votes in the general election, labour 29% libs Dem 23%,with 306 seats,258seats and 57 seats respectively, while the remaining 31 seats distributed among the smaller parties which sum of the total to 650 seats equals to the total number of districts in the UK
the may election also brought an end to hung parliament, for the first time in 31years.
one of the main conditions given by the lib Dem's for the alliance is reform in the electoral act.the libs and many British believes that proportional representation is unfair.the libs Dem which have about quarter of the votes ends up with less than 10% of the seats
